Honoring:

Richard Block

RICHARD BLOCK

Board Champion

Richard Block has been a member of GOSO's Board since 2006. Prior to that, he was an entrepreneur who co-founded a creative packaging business for the music and cosmetics industries. His involvement with GOSO began in 2005 when he first visited Rikers Island with President & CEO, Mark Goldsmith. Before long, he was mentoring participants there three times a week. In his 14 years with the organization, he has forged strong relationships with many of our participants through mentorship at Rikers and in the community, and correspondence with individuals who are incarcerated in upstate correctional facilities.
